Common Questions

Before your first ride.

How far is the barn from Columbus?

We're in Powell, in southern Delaware County, just north of Columbus. It's about 13 minutes from Worthington, 15 from Lewis Center, 17 from Dublin, 20 from Westerville, and 23 from Delaware. Use Get Directions to see your exact route.

Does my child need riding experience?

No. Beginners learn safety, control, and how to handle a horse on the ground before moving on. Camps are open to riders ages 4 to 14 with no experience required.

Do you teach adults?

Yes. We teach adults who are brand new to riding and adults coming back to it, as well as riders who want to sharpen their hunter/jumper skills.

Do we need to own a horse?

No. We provide lesson horses, so riders don't need their own horse to take lessons. IEA riders also compete on horses provided at each show, so the team is a good way to show without owning one.
